SRIANAGR: The annual Urs of Sheikh Noor-u-Din Noorani (RA), popularly known as Sheikh-ul-Alam, was observed at Chrar-e-Sharief in Budgam district on Friday with religious fervour.
Thousands of devotees from across the valley thronged the Chrar-e-Sharief shrine where special prayers, salutations, and supplications were held.
On the occasion, the religious scholars threw light on the life, religious services, teachings, and spiritual strength of the saint, who had devoted his entire life to the preaching of Islam.
The devotees were seen reciting Darood and Naats. Special prayers were held for the peace and prosperity of J&K.
Chairperson J&K Waqf Board, Darakshan Andrabi visited the shrine and took inspection of arrangements done by the administration. (KNO)
