Another Non-Local Labourer Succumbs To Injuries in Gagangir Attack, Toll Raises to Three

   

SRINAGAR: One more injured non-local labourer succumbed to his injuries, raising the death toll to three in a militant attack on a camp housing workers of a private company involved in tunnel construction at Gund in Ganderbal district.

A top official said the three labourers were rushed to the hospital after being shot by militants, but they later succumbed to their injuries.

“The incident occurred in a densely forested area, but security forces quickly reached the site and cordoned off the area,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Chief minister Omar Abdullah said that the casualty figure from the Gagangir attack is not final as there are a number of injured labourers, both local and non-local.

“Praying that the injured make a full recovery as the more seriously injured are being referred to SKIMS, Srinagar,” the CM said. (News Vibes of India)
