SRINAGAR: The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), along with the Crime Branch, conducted searches at courier service facilities across Budgam district on Wednesday as part of efforts to check the use of courier networks for smuggling contraband, officials said.
Officials said ANTF teams carried out searches with the assistance of sniffer dogs at multiple locations, including E-Falcon Logistics at Humhama, Budgam.
A senior official said such search operations would continue to prevent the misuse of courier services for transporting narcotic substances and other contraband.
The searches come amid increased scrutiny of courier channels following the recovery of cocaine from a courier service in Ganderbal in a previous case.
