Acting on a specific intelligence input, an ANTF team intercepted the suspect after sustained surveillance. The accused, identified as Mohd. Parvez, son of Mohd. Shaheed and a resident of Jaffarabad, North-East Delhi, was found in possession of the contraband during a search.

A case under FIR No. 03/2025, registered under Sections 8, 21, and 22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station ANTF Jammu, has been initiated. Authorities have launched further investigation to trace the wider network and establish both backward and forward linkages of the drug supply chain.

Preliminary findings suggest that the accused was part of a larger syndicate transporting narcotics from outside the Union Territory into Jammu and Kashmir for distribution among local peddlers.

The ANTF reaffirmed its commitment to intensify its campaign against drug trafficking and urged the public to share any information that could assist in making Jammu and Kashmir drug-free.
