SRINAGAR: Jammu youth on Tuesday staged a protest against Bhartiya Janta Party and its senior leader Yudvir Sethi for his remarks against people seeking restoration of 4G mobile internet services.

Sethi, who is BJP’s state vice president from Jammu, had issued a statement two days ago in which he said that those demanding restoration of 4G mobile internet services are sympathisers of militants.

The protesters torched Sethi’s effigy and also raised slogans against BJP and its leader.  Vasudev, youth activists heading the protest said that remarks by Sethi are highly objectionable and intolerable.

“We are nationalists and are demanding 4G mobile internet services but  Sethi called us terror sympathisers which is highly unfortunate,” Vasudev, a young protestor told news agency KNO.

Another youth said that Sethi must tender an apology for his remarks as he has hurt the sentiments.
