The Post-Graduate Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College, Srinagar, is organizing an ‘Week against drug Abuse’ from June 21 to 27 to sensitize people particularly youth about the bad effects of drug use, official sources said.

During the week long programme, the Department will organize de-addiction camps and awareness programmes at different places and educational institutions, they added.

Apart from holding de-addiction camp at Dalgate on June 21, the Department will organize awareness camps at Kashmir University, Women’s College M A Road, Srinagar and Government Degree College Ganderbal on June 24, 25 and 27 respectively.

On 26th June 2014, the luminaries and stakeholders will be visiting De-addiction Centre at Psychiatry Community Centre SMHS Hospital, Srinagar, while as an awareness programme for the students of Degree College Baramulla will be held at Psychiatry Community Centre GMC, Srinagar and IMHANS, Srinagar.
