Officials said the coordinated operations were conducted by specially constituted police teams under the supervision of senior officers, based on specific inputs developed during investigations under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act as well as actionable intelligence regarding drug peddlers, their associates, and alleged kingpins.

K9 squads were also deployed to assist in the searches, which primarily targeted suspected hideouts, transit routes, and locations linked to individuals believed to be involved in drug trafficking or supporting the illegal trade.

Police said the district-wide operation is part of a sustained strategy aimed at dismantling the entire narcotics ecosystem, including peddlers, facilitators, financiers, and other associated elements.

Anantnag Police reiterated their commitment to eradicating the drug menace and appealed to the public to continue sharing credible information to assist ongoing enforcement efforts.
