Anti PDD protesters on Monday blocked the Srinagar-Leh highway at Gagangir in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district hampering the vehicular movement for hours.
Reports said that the protesters including women and children blocked main Srinagar-Leh highway at Gagangir road against unscheduled power cuts.
“The villagers alleged that the PDD has been resorting to unscheduled, frequent power cuts in the area and despite bringing the issue into the notice of the concerned no action has been taken yet.”
The protesters chanted slogans against the concerned authorities for not providing them proper power supply even in the ongoing holy Month of Ramazan.
Besides, they said that the district administration has shown least concern to address their grievances.
