SRINAGAR

The All Party Hurriyat Conference on Monday expressed a serious concern over the death of a 19-year-old dealer Zahid Ahmed who was found dead in Rajasthan.

The spokesman said, “It is very unfortunate that Kashmiri’s are unsafe in their own homeland irrespective of the age and gender who are being made soft target by the non-locals outside Kashmir.”

He said it has been observed that students, businessmen and even a common Kashmiri are made targets outside Kashmir in other states of India subjected to various forms of harassment.

The spokesman added that it’s an irony that the cause of the death of Zahid Ahmed is not being highlighted by the government of Jammu and Kashmir.

The spokesman extended his sympathies and condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the highest standards in Janah for the slain youth.

Meanwhile, the body of slain Zahid was flown home on Monday and was buried in his hometown in Yaripora, Kulgam.
