Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Monday said that neither APHC is not going to participate in Assembly elections nor it will support any proxy or backdoor candidate.
“APHC will not participate in elections and it would not support any proxy candidate during these elections. It is a non-issue for us,” he told reporters during a press conference in Srinagar on Monday.
He said that elections are not substitute for Kashmir resolution. “Even ‘so called’ mainstream parties including National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party have come round to our views that Kashmir is not an administrative matter but it is a political issue,” he said.
