SRINAGAR: The Apni Party on Thursday staged a protest in Anantnag against the National Conference-led government, demanding the withdrawal of the recent hike in electricity tariffs.
Party workers and leaders raised slogans against the government during the protest and called for the tariff increase to be rolled back, saying higher electricity charges would place an additional burden on consumers.
The protesters urged the administration to reconsider the decision and provide relief to households already facing rising living costs.
The demonstration was organised as part of the party’s opposition to the power tariff increase and its demand for measures to ease the financial burden on consumers.
