SRINAGAR: Korean Government Scholarship Programme is open now. Applications will be accepted up to February 28, 2023.

Undergraduates must be below the age of 25 years and graduates below the age of 40 years to be eligible for the scholarship.

Applicants should have a CGPA of more than 80% from last educational institution.

Subject fields available are Korean language and literature, international relations (including Korean studies), biotechnology and electronic engineering.

The scholarship covers full airfare of the grantees, relocation allowance of Rs 11,556 (KRW 200,000) , Rs 1,155.6 (KRW 20,00) for covering living expenses, Rs 1,155.6 (KRW 20,00) for medical insurance, Rs 46,224 (KRW 800,000) every three months for language course, tuition fee up to Rs 28,890 (KRW 500,000) per month, an award for showing proficiency in Korean language, a grant for supporting research expenses, Rs 5,778 (KRW 100,000) upon completion of degree programme and a grant for printing and dissertation thesis of Rs 28,890 (KRW 500,000) – Rs 46,224 (KRW 800,000) for students enrolled in research.

The documents required at the time of application include Mark sheets and certificate for 10th standard, Mark sheets and certificates for the 12th standard, Transcripts of the applicants higher qualifications, Bachelors/Masters/Doctoral degree or equivalent, Personal statement, Statement of Purpose or research proposal, Letters of Recommendation, Certificates of language proficiency, publication awards and comprehensive medical examination.
