SRINAGAR: The American India Foundation’s (AIF) Banyan Impact Fellowship offers a fully funded 10-month programme for young professionals from India and the US. This initiative places participants in service with development organizations in India, fostering collaboration and capacity-building. Apply for the fellowship by February 20, 2024
Fellows engage in projects spanning environmental protection, climate justice, public health, education, livelihoods, arts, culture, and more. AIF provides a comprehensive package, including a living stipend, health insurance, language training, mentoring, professional development, and international networking opportunities.
The programme begins on October 1, 2024 and ends on July 31, 2025. The Fellowship recruits individuals aged 21 to 35, hailing from diverse professional backgrounds, to contribute their skills to grassroots development. Selection criteria include citizenship status, age, education, and a commitment to on-the-ground service in India.
US citizens, US permanent residents, or Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the fellowship. Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent before the programme begins.
For US Fellows, AIF covers roundtrip travel, insurance, emergency support, and a monthly stipend. Indian Fellows receive domestic travel, insurance, emergency support, and a monthly stipend.
