Authorities on Sunday blocked mobile internet services in parts of Budgam and Baramulla district following an encounter in Arizal are of central Kashmir’s Budgam.
A senior police official said that the internet was snapped as part of measures “to keep a check on rumors and in view of the encounter that left one militant dead in Beerwah area.”
A militant was killed and a teenage girl sustained bullet wounds in a pre-dawn brief encounter.
