Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday arrested a cop accused of cheating a man by using his debit card.
An official said that Police station Pantha Chowk solved an ATM theft case by arresting the accused policeman namely Ajaz Ahmad Khan, a resident of Hayhama Kupwara.
The accused cop, police sources said exchanged the ATM card of the man with his own duplicate card and later debited Rs 40,000 from his account fraudulently while offering him the help.
Khan, an official said is presently posted in JKAP’s 3rd Bn and is attached with security wing.
