The armies of India and Pakistan on Tuesday exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Kupwara district in northern part of Kashmir.

Reports said the firing took place in the Nowgam area of Handwara tehsil of the district.

The armies of both the countries exchanged fire during past two days in Kamalkote area of Uri in Baramulla district.

An army porter, Muhammad Abbas was killed and two women injured in the firing exchange.
