The armies of India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
Reports said that Pakistani army resorted to firing in Karmara sector of Poonch, resulting into injuries to a minor girl.
The injured girl was identified as Gulnaz Akhtar, daughter of Muhammad Nazir, a resident of Karmara.
She was shifted to a hospital for treatment, said the official.
Reports said that Indian army retaliated effectively and strongly.
