The armies of India and Pakistan on Tuesday exchanged fire along the Line of Control in Kirni sector of Poonch district of Jammu division.
An official said that at about 0740 hours, the Pakistan army opened by small arms along LoC in Kirni sector in Poonch district.
He said that the firing stopped around 8 am.
“The soldiers manning the fence also responded the fire strongly,” he said.
However, there were no immediate reports of any damage from either side.
