SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday reported the recovery of a significant quantity of arms and ammunition during a search operation in Kupwara district.
Quoting a police official, KNO reported that based on specific input, a joint search operation comprising Police, Army, and BSF was launched in the general area of Nangari Forest, Dardpora Kralpora in Kupwara.
The operation yielded the recovery of a substantial amount of war-like stores, officials said.
“The recovered arms and ammunition include 8 AK magazines, 445 live AK rounds, 1 pistol, 3 pistol magazines, 13 live pistol rounds, and one hand grenade,” official said.
A case has been registered in this regard, and further investigations are underway.
