SRINAGAR: Police along with Army recovered cache of ammunition in Uri Sector area of district Baramulla, said police.
A police spokesman in a statement said that based on specific input, Police alongwith Army (16 SIKHLI) launched a joint cordon and search operation in village Chauranda area of Uri Sector Baramulla.
He said that during search operation, the joint team of Police and Army recovered cache of ammunition including 200 AK rounds, 8 Chinese Grenades and IED material.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Uri and further investigation set into motion, said police spokesman in a statement.
