Ahead of President Ram Nath Kovind’s to Ladakh region, army chief, General Bipin Rawat, arrived in Leh on Sunday to take stock of the situation.
According to reports, General Rawat is on two-day visit to the region where he is scheduled to take part in a function which would be presided by President Kovind.
The function is present President’s Colours to Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre on Monday.
The sources in the defence ministry said General Rawat would be briefed about the emerging situation along the Line of Actual Control with China
