SRINAGAR: Chief of Army Staff General Dhiraj Seth on Tuesday called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at his residence in Srinagar, days after assuming charge of the top Army post.
General Seth was accompanied by General Officer Commanding (GOC) Chinar Corps Lieutenant General Balbir Singh and other senior Army officers.
Officials said the meeting was a courtesy call following General Seth’s appointment as the Chief of Army Staff on June 30.
During the interaction, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah congratulated General Seth on taking over the prestigious position and extended his best wishes for his new responsibilities.
