SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri sector witnessed a visit from Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande on Saturday. During his visit, he conducted a thorough review of operational preparedness and the security situation in the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC), Army officials said.

Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Northern Command, along with other senior officers, warmly received the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and provided him with detailed briefings on operational readiness.

The Indian Army’s Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADGPI), shared the event, stating, “General Manoj Pande, #COAS visited and reviewed the forward areas in Rajouri Sector. #COAS was briefed by Commanders on the ground about the operational preparedness and prevailing security situation.”

The COAS expressed his appreciation for the operational readiness and effective control of the Line of Control, emphasising the significance of maintaining professionalism and resolve when facing operational challenges during his motivational interaction with the troops.

The ADGPI also shared several images from the Army Chief’s visit to the Rajouri sector.
