Army chief’s remarks triggers protest in assembly, Nc stages walkout

Opposition National Conference MLAs on Monday staged a walkout from the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly over the recent the recent statement by army Chief and  Cardon and search operations in the state.

As soon as the House assembled for the day’s proceedings, the NC MLAs demands statement by Chief Minister regarding army chief’s statement and Caso’s in Kashmir on daily basis.

National Conference leader Ali Mohammad Sagar raised the issue of recent cordon and search operation in Srinagar wants a statement by Chief Minister.

He said that the situation in worsening and deteriorating daily and the government wants to create a situation like South Kashmir in Srinagar and north Kashmir.

“It is a serious issue and CASO is back in Downtown Srinagar after 17 years… what is this?,” Sagar told in House.

“We did not bring adjournment motion because you allege then opposition does not allow the house to run.”

“This government has no vision, direction nor any policy,” he said.

CPI (M)Tarigami, MLA Kulgam, said, “this is a serious issue and government should come clear as what army chief meant by the politico-military solution to Kashmir.”

Not satisfied with speakers intervention the NC members raised slogans like Nagpur sarkar Hi Hi” “BJP sarkar Hihi” “RSS Sarkar HI HI” and staged a walkout.
