SRINAGAR: Army’s Bomb Disposal Squads on Tuesday destroyed two unexploded mortar shells in Nambla village of Uri town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district following information about the explosive substances in the area.

An official said two live mortar shells fired by Pakistani troops along the Line of Control (LoC) was found in Dakhan and Sofi Mohala Nambla in Uri sector.

Soon after this Army experts immediately rushed to the spot and destroyed the unexploded shells safely, said an official.
