SRINAGAR: Army on Wednesday said that an infiltration bid was foiled along Line of Control (LoC) at Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
Army’s Srinagar-based Chinar Corps wrote on X, “The alert troops of the Indian Army foiled an infiltration attempt by approximately 2-3 unidentified terrorists in the general area of Sarjeevan near Uri Nala, Baramulla district, earlier today.”
The infiltration attempt was detected along the Line of Control (LoC), where vigilant troops challenged the militants, leading to a brief but intense exchange of fire.
“The operation is currently in progress, with security forces maintaining a tight cordon around the area to neutralise the infiltrators,” the post read. (KNO)
