SRINAGAR: A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the army was killed on Sunday after the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the LoC in Nowshehra area of Rajouri district.
Official sources said Pakistan resorted to firing and shelling at Nowshera sector in which an army officer received serious injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Jammu-based defence spokesperson confirmed the death saying they would share the details shortly.
The body of the army officer has been shifted for medico-legal formalities.
