Jammu and Kashmir police apprehended an Indian Army soldier with live ammunition at Srinagar airport on Thursday.

Sources said Ravindra Kumar, who was carrying live ammunition of AK-47 rifle in his luggage, has been handed over to army authorities.

Kumar said he had forgotten the bullets, which was detected during an X-ray scanning at the airport, in his baggage by mistake. He was scheduled to board a flight to New Delhi.
