SRINAGAR: An Army man allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself to death in Nagam area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday.
Quoting official sources news agency KDC reported that an Army trooper identified as bhupinder Singh son of Surjeet Singh, a resident of Makshoorpur, Punjab posted at 53 RR Nagam camp committed suicide by shooting himself with his service riffle.
The trooper was immediately shifted to 92 base hospital Srinagar where he was declared dead. The reason behind his action could not be ascertained immediately, a police officer said proceedings have been launched in this regard.
