One army man has succumbed in the militant attack on army convoy near toll post Lower Munda on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Qazigund. The attack took place on Saturday morning wounding six soldiers.
Militants fired upon army convoy moving on Srinagar-Jammu highway near Lower Munda Qazgiund, police officials said.
The injured army men were referred to hospital where one was declared dead, police said. Among the five others injured one is stated to be critical.
“We are ascertaining the facts,” Srinagar based army spokesperson said, when asked about the details of the attack. The whole area has been cordoned off following the attack.
After massive manhunt was launched highway was shut for traffic movement.
