An army soldier was wounded in sniper fire from across the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Monday.
The news gathering agency GNS quoting a police officer reported that several rounds were fired from across the LoC at the posts of army’s 17 JAKLI in Machil around 1:05 pm.
A soldier was injured in the incident who was shifted to military hospital Drugmulla for treatment.
An official identified the injured soldier as Lance Naik, Pradeep Kumar.
