SRINAGAR: An army trooper has been injured in an ongoing Gunfight in Charar-i- Shareef area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
Official sources told news agency GNS that an Army soldier has been injured in the ongoing encounter. He has been shifted to 92 Base hospital for specialized treatment.
Earlier, According to the reports reaching GNS, a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Charar-i-shareef.
As the joint team encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them. The fire was retaliated by the joint team, triggering off an encounter.
