SRINAGAR: An army man was killed after the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged fire along the LoC in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district on Thursday night.
Official sources said Pakistan resorted to firing and shelling around 12.35 am in which an army man received serious splinter injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Jammu-based defence spokesperson Lt Col Devender Anand confirmed the death saying they would share the details shortly.
The body of the army man has been shifted to Nowshera for medico-legal formalities.
