An ATM guard of Jammu and Kashmir bank posted at Kundalan village of Shopian was allegedly beaten by an army on Wednesday in Shopian.
An official said that an ATM guard identified as Hilal Ahmad Parrey, 26, son of Abdul Qayoom, a resident of Kundalan Shopian was admitted in District Hospital Shopian with the marks of beating, bruises.
The official added that as per Parry’s version, An army patrolling party beat him ruthlessly while he was performing his duties during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday without any reason.
It’s pertinent to mention here that the area pertains to Army camp Nagishsharan Shopian within the area of responsibility of 34 RR.
