Police officials Tuesday rushed to North Kashmir’s Kupwara to access the situation after army reportedly opened fire at its own recruitment drive which left two youth injured.

The firing incident took place during army’s recruitment rally at Chamkote in Tanghdar.

Reports said that around three thousands candidates who turned up for the recruitment drive ransacked the gate of the army garrison, which is believed to have triggered the firing.

While confirming the report, the police spokesman said the condition of injured youth is stable.
