SRINAGAR: A man working as an army porter lost his life in an explosion that took place near the Line of Control (LoC) in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday.
An official said that a tragic incident occurred near the Line of Control in Rajouri district, where an army porter, identified as Rajesh Kumar, lost his life in an explosion on Wednesday evening.
The explosion, suspected to be caused by an anti-personnel landmine, took place in the Nowshera sector, he said.
Kumar, a resident of Sarvah village near the LoC, was working in the area when the incident happened, the official said.
He said that the police have taken possession of the body for further investigation.
