SRINAGAR: An Army soldier died by suicide at the Ragni Post in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district late Sunday night.
Official sources said that the soldier succumbed to a self-inflicted gunshot wound using his service weapon.
He was immediately evacuated to a hospital for treatment, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case, and an investigation into the incident is underway. (JKNS)
