Army Truck Plunges into Gorge in JK’s Ramban, Three Dead

   

SRINAGAR: Three Army personnel lost their lives after a truck they were travelling in skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Battery Chashma on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Sunday afternoon.

Officials said that the vehicle was en route from Jammu to Srinagar when the driver reportedly lost control, causing it to fall nearly 600 feet into the gorge.

The deceased soldiers have been identified as Amit Kumar, Sujit Kumar, and Man Bhadur.

A joint rescue operation was launched by the Army, Police, SDRF, and civil volunteers. Police have taken cognisance of the matter and further proceedings are underway. (KNO Inputs)
