Srinagar

Government on Friday released Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairperson Muhammad Yasin Malik from Central Jail Srinagar.

Malik was arrested on Thursday afternoon from his Abu Guzar office.

Speaking at the time of his arrest, Malik told reporters that the resistance leaders were being caged to sabotage their flight to Delhi to court arrest in front of NIA.

He accused the state government of facilitating the raids and said that NIA was being used as the dreaded “Ikhwan and Task Force”. He said the arrest shows the hollowness of NIA claims about so-called terror funding.

Pertinently,  JKLF statement issued on Thursday afternoon said that Malik was sent to central jail Srinagar on a five-day long judicial remand.
