NC worker hits cop, police registers case

In a fit of rage ,a National Conference worker allegedly hit a police constable with his Swift vehicle when the cop did not permit him to park his vehicle in security zone at Zachildara Handwara, where Transport Minister Choudhry Muhamamd Ramzan was addressing an election rally.

A police official, on condition of anonymity, told CNS that security had been beefed up at Zachildara in wake of the election rally that was addressed by NC leader Choudhry Ramzan.

“The arrogant NC worker namely Touseef Bashir intentionally hit the cop Mushtaq Ahmed (555-H) with his Swift vehicle (JK09-9400), when the later tried to stop him from parking his vehicle in security area meant for the VIP’s,” police official said.

He said that the cop was injured and had been hospitalized. “ Nobody is above law and we have registered a case against the offender,” he said.
