The Kashmir Auto-rickshaw drivers Union on Saturday staged a protest near Ganta Ghar Lalchowk against the attempts to tinker with Article 35A, which provides special status and privileges to citizens of Jammu and Kashmir.
Scores of auto rickshaw drivers gathered in Lalchowk raising pro-Kashmir slogans and holding banners holding placards and banners and registered their protest against attempts to abrogate the Article 35-A.
The protesting auto-rickshaw drivers union demanded the immediate dismissal of the petition challenging the validity of Article 35-A in Constitution of India.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed across Kashmir against attempts to abrogate Article-35A.
