SRINAGAR: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National General Secretary Tarun Chugh Tuesday said that Article 370 was an “eclipse” for the overall development of Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to reporters, Chugh said that due to the abrogation of Article 370, the youth of JK who were stuck in uncertain situations for decades have started to earn their livelihood in a dignified manner.
“Article 370 was an eclipse for the overall development of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, but it was nullified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government on August 05, 2019, that paved way for JK youth to see peace, prosperity, and developmental era,” Chugh said, adding, “The PM Modi brought peace and prosperity in the whole JK and turned the UT into the hub of tourism activities.”
While hitting out at NC, PDP and Congress, he said that the dynastic political parties in Jammu and Kashmir are daydreaming about the return of article 370.
“NC, PDP and Congress are daydreaming like Mungeri Lal. These politicians are thinking about the return of Article 370, which however will never to happen. Abdullah, Mufti, and Ghandi families ruined JK in their rule and left youth unemployed” he added. (KNS)
