Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon Tuesday reviewed arrangements being put in place for ensuing Darbar Move.
Chairing a meeting of officers, the Divisional Commissioner held discussion regarding residential accommodations for move employees besides sanitation and renovation works to be taken up in Government Quarters, an official spokesperson said last evening.
He directed the concerned departments to ensure that the renovation and repair work in all government residential colonies is completed well in time besides facilities like potable water; power, ration etc are made available.
The officials of Estates department informed the Divisional Commissioner that additional accommodation has been made available by the department for move employees at Sempora. It was also given that different teams shall also be deployed by the Estates Department at various colonies/Hotels to facilitate the move employees to their allotted accommodations.
Officials of SRTC said the adequate arrangements will be made to ferry the employees to Secretariat.
On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner also directed officials of SMC to ensure proper sanitation and directed them to lift garbage from the city at the earliest and asked them to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the city.
He also directed Floriculture department for face lifting of the Secretariat lawns and beautification of roads.
Among others, DIG Central Kashmir, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Deputy Director Estates and officials of SMC, Health Services Kashmir, CAPD, PHE, R&B, PDD and JKSRTC were present on the occasion.
