The Ashiqui 2 star, Aditya Roy Kapur, who is playing a role of Kashmiri guy in his upcoming movie “Fitoor” was left spellbound by his Kashmiri lookalike, playing his younger version in the film.
The boy, Mohammed Abrar, bears stark resemblance to Aditya, and seemed to be a perfect fit for the role.
As per the film spokesperson, the Kashmiri boy was picked up after various rounds of auditions were done in Mumbai and Delhi. “Lots of auditions were done before Mohammed Abrar was finalised to play the role of younger Aditya,” the spokesperson said. “The team was very happy with this casting as he fits the role very well.”
Abrar suited the role completely and even bonded very well on the sets with Aditya, the spokesperson said. “Apart from him, there are a few other Kashmiri support cast in the film.”
An Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial venture, “Fitoor” brings Aditya and Katrina Kaif together for the first time. The film is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ novel “Great Expectations”. It hit a roadblock due to budget issues, but is back on track. It is slated to release early next year.
