SRINAGAR: Within hours after separatist leader Asiya Andrabi was featured in the women achievers, the government has put the concerned CDPO under suspension with immediate effect, official sources said.
The orders were issued by the DeputyCommissioner, Ananatng. The order has been served to the CDPO Shameema Akhter on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
At a function in Kokernag, the Social Welfare department had featured Asiya Andrabi, Dukhtern-e-Milat founder, as one of the women achievers. She was one of many women including Haba Khatoon, Indira Gandhi and various other sports personalities. The function was aimed at popularising a government scheme. The event was presided over by a minister and the photograph of the board went virtual on the social media.
