SRINAGAR

Police have registered an FIR against woman separatist leader and Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief Asiya Andrabi for allegedly unfurling Pakistani National flag on its national day in Srinagar, sources said on Wednesday.

They added that Asiya has been booked under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act in police station Nowhatta.

Asiya is alleged to have not only unfurled the Pakistani National flag on March 23 but also sang its national anthem along with some of her supporters.

This year’s Pakistan Day has proved more controversial as the Minister of State for External Affairs General VK Singh refuse to die down. Singh was forced to clarify his stand and he said that he is fully committed to the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
