Asraria Cricket Club lifted the trophy of the “Bhaderwah Bhalessa Premier League” 2016 today.
The tournament was played at PG Ground Bhaderwah in Doda District.
Organized by Bhalessa Youth Organization the tournament saw a participation of 30 teams from different part of the District.
Asraria cricket club defeated Bhalessa Masood Cricket Club (MCC) Bhaderwah by 4 wickets.
Winning the toss, MCC Bhaderwah elected to bat first and scored 174 runs in the allotted 20 for the loss of 8 wickets.
Rashoo Shapoo and Babar Mughal contributed 49 and 35 runs respectively for their team. For ACC Bhalessa, Ayaz, Saleem and Babar Shah bagged two wickets each.
In reply, the professional batting performance of Deepak and Saleem lead team ACC Bhalessa to lift the trophy.
ACC chased the target in 19.3 overs for the loss of 6 wickets. Deepak scored 62 runs while Saleem contributed with 52 vital runs for his team.
Deepak was adjudged Man of the Match for his batting performance while Mubashir Rather of ACC Bhalessa was declared Man of the Tournament Award for his all round performance.
MLC Naresh Gupta was the Chief Guest while Principal GDC Bhaderwah Prof Zaheer Abass Hashmi was the Guest of Honor.
A total of Rs 25,000 was awarded to the winning team and Rs 15000 to the runner up team.
