Jammu region is being developed exclusively as an independent tourist destination, reveals the document of tourism department.
At the cost of Rs 230.59 cr under Prime Ministers Development plan, documents mention, three circuits that is, Integrated development of tourist facilities at Mantalai, Sud Mahadev, Rajouri-Bafliyaz, Shopian-Pulwama and integrated tourist facilities at Anantnag-Kishtiwar-Pahalgam-Ranjit Sagar dam, have been approved.
In addition, construction of amusement park at Sidhra golf course, development of Suchetgarh border, world class tourist amenities with smart solar illumination, path ways, solid waste management at Katra and construction of musical fountain with light and sound show at Bagh-e-bahu has also been approved.
The document mentions that this has been taken under Swadesh Darshan Scheme to give boost to the tourism activities in Jammu region by Union Ministry of tourism.
