SRINAGAR: Assembly Privileges Com The Committee on Privileges of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is scheduled to take up the breach of privilege case involving MLA Waheed Ur Rehman Para at a meeting on July 24, according to an official bulletin issued by the Assembly Secretariat.
The meeting will be held at 11 am on Friday in the Meeting Hall of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat in Srinagar.
The proceedings will be chaired by Justice Hasnain Masoodi, Chairman of the Committee on Privileges. Other members requested to attend include Peerzada Mohammad Syed, Bashir Ahmad Shah (Veeri), Showkat Hussain Ganie, Khurshied Ahmed, Zafar Ali Khatana, Vijay Kumar, Rajeev Kumar and Darshan Kumar.
According to the bulletin, Waheed Ur Rehman Para has been asked to appear before the committee at the scheduled date, time and venue.
The Assembly Secretariat has also directed the Director Information, Jammu and Kashmir Government, to depute an Information Officer and a cameraperson to cover the meeting. Security arrangements have been communicated to the SSP (Security), Civil Secretariat, Srinagar, the bulletin added.
