The J&K Legislative Assembly on Thursday issued a show cause Notice to Retired General V K Singh, former Chief of Army Staff where-under he has been asked to explain his position regarding certain revelations made by him during the course of an interview on September 23.
The Spokesperson of J&K Legislative Assembly in a statement issued here said that the Assembly Secretariat under the orders of the Speaker, Mubarak Gul issued the Notice in response to a Breach of Privilege Notice given by 15 Ministers/ Members against him.
The Spokesperson said that V K Singh has been given 20 days- time to explain his position in the matter so that further course of action could be decided under the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the J&K Legislative Assembly.
